چکیده
Abstract—The performance of the single-carrier (SC) transmission in a frequency-selective fading channel degrades due to a severe inter-symbol interference (ISI). By using frequency-domain equalization (FDE) based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion at a receiver, the bit error rate (BER) performance of the SC transmission can be significantly improved. Recently, Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) has been attracting much attention as a preequalization technique at a transmitter. In this paper, we propose a joint use of THP and FDE and evaluate its achievable BER performance by computer simulation.
